Description

The Moroccan loofah: A purely Moroccan product and considered one of the most important tools in the Moroccan bath. It was extracted and made from tree fibers in the Moroccan city of Fez and has been modified for use in public and municipal baths. It has been used in Morocco since Roman times and has many names, including: Moroccan loofah, Moroccan loofah, scrubber, kessa, and kessaal. Its benefits: It exfoliates and scrubs the body, evens and brightens skin tone, removes dead skin cells, eliminates toxins from the body, and treats ingrown hairs (chicken skin) through exfoliation. How to use the Moroccan loofah: Before using it for the first time, it is recommended to soak it in warm water for 5 minutes. After preparing the bathroom, close the door and all windows, and run hot water in the bathtub or shower. Sit in the bathroom, exposed to steam or hot water, for 10-15 minutes to open the pores. Then, spray your body with hot water as if you were in a sauna. Afterwards, the whole body is coated with soap, and after several minutes the entire body is scrubbed using the Moroccan loofah. It is preferable to scrub the body in circular motions to get the best results. The loofah also helps to stimulate blood circulation. This method also helps to get rid of dead skin that accumulates on the elbows and knees. Then the process ends by washing the entire body using water and soap to get the best results.
