Green tea is considered the most beneficial for human health, primarily due to its high content of catechins, which are preserved because green tea is not oxidized or fermented during its production. Benefits include: reducing the risk of tooth decay, tooth loss, and gum disease; lowering the risk of various nerve-damaging diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's; being a rich source of antioxidants that protect the body from cellular aging and cancer; aiding in weight management by increasing the body's calorie and fat burning rate; reducing cholesterol oxidation, thus lowering the risk of cardiovascular disease; being beneficial for diabetics by helping control blood glucose levels and lower insulin levels; resisting several types of bacteria, viruses, and fungi, such as Helicobacter pylori, the influenza virus in its early stages, and the herpes simplex virus, while not affecting the beneficial bacteria in the digestive system; and boosting the body's immune system due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Usage: Heat water to boiling point, then add one teaspoon of the herb per cup. The strength can be diluted or strengthened according to individual needs and taste. Drink one cup in the morning and one in the evening. Sweetening with honey is recommended, and mint or jasmine can be added for enhanced flavor and benefits. Place the herb in a sealed strainer in a pot of boiling water or in a cup, then pour hot water over it.
