Description
To treat high blood pressure, soak the doum fruit in water for six hours, stirring occasionally. Then, heat the doum over a low flame. Do not allow it to boil, as this will make it too bitter. Remove from heat, sweeten with sugar, and let it cool. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve, or you may choose not to strain it at all. Doum is also believed to increase sexual potency and sperm count. It is used to treat asthma and chest allergies.
